Tidewell Foundation Announces 2022 Tidewell Trot 5K and 1-Mile Run/Walk

Registration is open now and sponsorship opportunities are available

The Tidewell Foundation is pleased to announce the 2022 Tidewell Trot 5K and 1-Mile Run/Walk, presented by Alltrust Insurance. Sponsorship opportunities are currently available for the event, which will benefit the Tidewell Foundation. The event is scheduled to take place Saturday, Nov. 5 at Nathan Benderson Park.

More than 800 runners and walkers are expected to attend the event. Proceeds benefit the Tidewell Foundation in its grants to Tidewell Hospice for charity care, grief support services, specialized veterans care, music therapy, telehealth and more.

“We’re looking forward to returning to Nathan Benderson Park to present a healthy, fun event that will help the Tidewell Foundation support the programs of Tidewell Hospice, the region’s only not-for-profit hospice,” said Tidewell Foundation President Debbie Mason. “We’re grateful for Alltrust Insurance’s continued support as our title sponsor for 2022. Local businesses have plenty of opportunities to reach a wide audience while supporting Tidewell through Tidewell Trot sponsorship.”

Discounted early-bird registrations for the 5K and 1-mile walk/run are available by visiting TidewellTrot.org before Sept. 22. Both races are pet- and stroller-friendly and will feature a water stop and music. Volunteer opportunities are available. Here is the current schedule of events for the 2022 Tidewell Trot:

• 8 a.m. – 5K Run
• 8:15 a.m. – 1-Mile Run/Walk
• 9 a.m. – Food and Vendor Fair
• Following Both Races – After Party and Awards Ceremony
