Successful linens drive will help patients
SARASOTA – Hundreds of pounds of new sheets, towels, blankets, pillows and other linens are now available to Tidewell Hospice and Empath Home Health patients in need thanks to Tidewell Foundation donors, in partnership with Dignity Memorial.
The 3rd Annual Linens and Love drive was held throughout March 2023. Donors purchased new linens and contributed to a record $4,024 toward the purchase of new linens.
“Many Tidewell Hospice patients lack the means to purchase basic linens. Items like extra-long twin sheets that fit a hospital bed are especially needed,” said Delesa Morris, interim President of Tidewell Foundation. “Our partnership with Dignity Memorial in this drive means patients and their families have an extra measure of care and comfort at a difficult time.”
The linens are used by Tidewell Hospice and Empath Home Health teams throughout the year as patients who need them enter care. Most patients are cared for in their homes.
