Dr. Cheryl Reynolds
Retired ER Physician
Longboat Key
“Now it’s my turn to give back.”
Dr. Cheryl Reynolds supports the Tidewell Foundation because she understands the gravity of losing a loved one better than most. Cheryl is a retired ER doctor, and death has always been part of her job.
“I have always been supportive of hospice, because I felt there was a better way to die than in the hospital. If it had to be in the hospital, I would want it to be a peaceful death, if possible. I tried very hard to do that, and to comfort the grieving families.”
Cheryl was born and raised in Bradenton, and she has a strong sense of community. “The area is special to me because I am a native, and it’s my roots.”
Her first contact with Tidewell came when her grandmother entered hospice. She’s been a mainstay at Tidewell ever since.
“I stay motivated to give because I have been so blessed in life and I cannot ever forget that when I didn’t have anything, people gave and helped me out. Now it is my turn to give back.”
