As manager of the J.McLaughlin store on Longboat Key, Melanie Dale has spearheaded their partnership with the Tidewell Foundation, raising thousands of dollars for community programs. Every year, Melanie hosts special events to benefit Tidewell Honors Veterans and the Blue Butterfly Family Grief Program.

“I was first drawn to Tidewell because of their Tidewell Honors Veterans program. My father was a WWII veteran, and VERY proud of it. I think he would have so appreciated what Tidewell Honors does for veterans.”

Melanie has become our go-to example of a leader finding unique ways to support her community through her everyday work. She leverages her professional role, integrating community service into the business. Beyond Tidewell, she’s raised funds for more than 10 other local nonprofit organizations.
