William Alfred Pierce
William “Bill” Alfred Pierce, age 92, passed away peacefully at the Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton on April 22, 2024. He was born to Elwin White Pierce & Edith Hattie (Matheson) Pierce in Bolton, VT, on September 19, 1931. He served in the Army and was a true patriot.
Bill is predeceased by his loving wife, Marcella Jean (Greenslit) Pierce; his youngest son, David William Pierce; brothers, Elwin Kenneth Pierce, Harold George Pierce, and Howard John Pierce. He is survived by his son, Fred H. Pierce (Lynn); daughter, Valerie A. Pierce; sister, Ethel May Woodward; grandchildren: Kimberly German (Brandon), Lauren Pierce, Jay O’Brien, Shannon O’Brien, Christopher Angelidis (Karena); 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. All of whom he loved and touched deeply.
He loved life and loved people.
Please join the Pierce family for Bill’s Celebration of Life at The American Legion, Kirby Stewart Post #24, 2000 75th St W, Bradenton, FL 34209, on June 8, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Bill will be interned at The Sarasota National Cemetery on June 10, 2024, at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tidewell Foundation (Hospice) or a charity of your choice.
