Leon Trombley
Surrounded by his family, Leon went with the Angels on 5/24/2024. Born in Albans, Vt in 1944. 80 years later, his job was done. He will be missed by his wife, Sandra Morgan Trombley, and son Peter Trombley. His sister Judy, husband Steve Cheney, his second son Tom Devino, as he called him, and his grandchildren Evan and Samantha Devino, as well as many nieces and nephews and many friends. He will also be missed by his dog person, Lucky. He loved his dog. He was predeceased by his father, Emile Trombley, and mother, Marion Trombley, and his sister, Martha Cheney.
Leon graduated from Winooski High School and went on to graduate From Champlain College. Then, he went to work for Sears, where he made a great career as a controller and General Manager for 40 years. Upon retiring from Sears, he started A handy Man business, which also lasted for 10 years, which he enjoyed thoroughly. He used his spare time to volunteer for the association for the special needs and set up many programs for them. He was also on the board of direction for the Pleasant Park Condo Assoc. He enjoyed work; we always said that was his hobby.
There will be a Mass at St. Marks Catholic Church,1251 North Ave, Burlington, VT 05408, Saturday, August 24th at 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at The Miller Center, 130 Goss Court, Burlington, Vermont 05408.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota, Florida.
