Jerome ‘Jerry’ Kaye
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Jerome ‘Jerry’ Kaye, born March 26, 1934, at the age of 90 on August 22, 2024.
Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Miriam ‘Mickie’ Kaye; children Jonathan (Jennifer) and Julianne Oberdorff (Troy); grandchildren Jordann, Devin (Hunter), Ian, and Cole (Mary); five great-grandchildren; sister Marsha Weiss (Norman); and numerous other family members and friends.
Jerry was a leader, not a follower; from being the president of his college fraternity to being the president of the Huntington Jewish Center. His artistic mind was always working; whether on the subject of his next painting creation or the next poem he was going to share with his poetry group.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Aviva located at 1953 N. Honore Ave, Sarasota.
Memorial donations may be made in Jerry’s name to the Tidewell Hospice or Aviva, payable to Flanzer Trust.
