Gary Merle Pelton
Gary Merle Pelton, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, in Sarasota, Florida. Born on July 24, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan, Gary was the beloved son of the late Thomas and Naida Pelton.
Gary attended Northwest High School in Jackson, where he was an avid track athlete. Following his graduation, he proudly served his country by joining the United States Air Force, marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to his nation as a proud veteran.
Throughout his life, Gary divided his time between Michigan and Florida, cultivating deep friendships and leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Gary is survived by his two sons, Richard (Jenny) and Dawayne (Ladonna), who carry forward his legacy with love and pride. He was a grandfather to eight grandchildren. Gary is also survived by his brother, Dane (Linda) Pelton, and his sister, Nancy (Joe) King, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Gary has been cremated. His final resting place will be the National Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
