Janice Kay Rowe

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janice Kay Rowe (Worthington) on September 29, 2024, at her Bradenton home, surrounded by her family.

Janice was a source of strength, love, and kindness to all who knew her. Born on November 22, 1946, in Stillwater, OK, and raised in Perry, OK, she lived a life marked by generosity and grace. Her warmth and unwavering support made everyone feel like family.

She is deeply missed by her three children, Howard (Houston, TX), Cody, and Michael Rowe (both of Bradenton, FL), and her grandchildren, Katie, Michael, and Abigail Rowe, all of Bradenton, FL. She also leaves behind her siblings, Richard Worthington (Geneva, IL) and Julie Witherspoon (Versailles, MO), nephews John Westerman and Richard Worthington, and countless cherished friends, cousins, and “bonus” family. Janice was preceded in death by her loving parents, Howard and Doris Worthington.

Janice dedicated many years as President of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce in Illinois, where she raised her three sons before moving to Bradenton after the birth of her first grandchild. She found joy in the little things—reading her favorite books, relaxing with shows like Law & Order: SVU and Criminal Minds, and, most of all, spending time with the people she loved.

Her love for family was boundless, her spirit unmatched, and her impact immeasurable. Janice brought light and joy even in the toughest moments, and her memory will forever inspire those she leaves behind.

May she rest in eternal peace, forever loved and never forgotten.
