Posting Your Obituary Tribute
Obituaries placed on the Tidewell Foundation site are free.
Photos
Photos are optional, but encouraged. The best photos show the person’s face clearly. Blurry or distorted photos are discouraged.
Obituaries submitted without a photo will be posted with an image from nature.
Your Tribute
We request that obituaries be no longer than 400 words. TIP: Writing your obituary in Microsoft WORD or other word processing program will make it easier to edit/revise. Then simply “copy and paste” into the form.
Some ideas to include: Characteristics of your loved one, accomplishments, favorite things, fond memories, community impact.
Details
Most obituaries will be posted within 72 hours.
A Tidewell Hospice or Empath Health experience is not required to post obituary; however each obituary will have a Tidewell Foundation donation button to allow family and friends to make a donation if they wish to do so.
A donation is not required to post, read or share an obituary.
Obituaries will be reviewed for content and clarity prior to being posted. Tidewell Foundation reserves the right to edit obituaries for readability and content.
Obituaries will not be removed from the site except by special request. To request an obituary be removed, click to email Tidewell Obituaries.
In the event this webpage, TidewellFoundation.org, ceases to exist, the obituaries will not be preserved.
