Helen Beemer

Helen M. Beemer (nee Rose), 73, of Rockford, Michigan, passed away on January 31, 2024. Born on August 4, 1950, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend.

Helen had a fierce faith and unwavering love for her family. She fought her 11-year battle with cancer with the utmost grace and dignity. Passionate in everything she did, Helen approached life with determination and perfection. She was a woman of strong character, and her unwavering spirit inspired all who knew her.

Surviving is the love of her life, Bill, whom she met at 14 years of age. Also left to cherish her memory is her daughter, who was her pride and joy, Holly (Chris, aka favorite son-in-law) Brower, and her granddaughter, Alison Brower, who was the absolute gem of her life. Helen is also survived by her sister, Debra (Doug) Quick, and her brothers, Jerry (Darlene) Rose and Scott (Kim) Rose. She will be forever missed by her nieces & nephews, Dan (Nicole) Quick, Jeremy (Janel) Quick, Kimberly (Lee) Sytsma, Jake (Sonia) Rose, and Kari (Josh) Bergakker.

Helen was a graduate of Northview High School and worked as the office manager for her husband’s Financial Services business. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her warm presence, infectious smile, and delicious meals will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life will be held this spring in Canadian Lakes, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Helen’s memory to the American Cancer Society or Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, FL.

The Roberson Funeral Home in Port Charlotte, Florida, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Helen M. Beemer will be remembered as a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of many. Her legacy of faith, love, and perseverance will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.
