Tidewell Hospice is the “first” hospice-only nurse residency program to achieve ANCC PTAP accreditation, which not only lays the foundation for hospice nursing nationwide, but is a differentiating factor that sets us apart from other hospice programs.
Tidewell Hospice Nurse Residency Program
Launched in 2018 in response to the national nursing shortage, the donor funded Tidewell Hospice Nurse Residency program is a comprehensive 12-month training program for recent nurse graduates who wish to enter the specialty practice of hospice nursing. This program provides comprehensive, one-on-one training, allowing nurse residents to understand the complex specialty of hospice nursing until they are ready for a full patient load.
Tidewell is the only hospice in Florida with this type of program, and the first in the nation to receive accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center*.
Our goal is to achieve the highest standard of care for our patients. Through the program, we are able to recruit talented nurses, support them as they learn specialized skills, and provide them with a career path, ensuring a world-class nursing staff for years to come.
Through your generous support, the Tidewell Foundation can ensure patients and their families will always receive the highest level of compassion, comfort, and care from the best of the best.
