If you are 70½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit Tidewell Foundation and receive tax benefits in return. You can give any amount up to $105,000 per person per year from your IRA directly to Tidewell Foundation.
Together, we build a stronger, more compassionate community.
To make a gift from your IRA to the Tidewell Foundation, contact your IRA administrator to arrange a direct transfer from your account.
This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short. This will count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) and you will not have to pay income taxes on the money.
Your IRA administrator can send the funds by a check made payable to Tidewell Foundation.
Mail to:
Tidewell Foundation
3550 S. Tamiami Trail
Sarasota, FL 34239
Checks sometimes arrive without identification, so please contact Jasmine Martin at (941) 499-4553, or email jasminemartin@tidewellfoundation.org and indicate your name, the name of your IRA administrator and the amount of your distribution.
