The Tidewell Foundation is pleased to announce Chris Pfahler has been named Senior Philanthropy Advisor for Sarasota County. Chris has served as a philanthropy advisor for Tidewell Foundation since 2020. Chris will continue to expand her focus within Sarasota County matching donors with opportunities to support the Tidewell Foundation’s not-for-profit mission to ensure more people receive the compassionate care they need.

Chris has been making positive and lasting impacts on our community for the last 18 years. Prior to joining the Tidewell Foundation as a Philanthropy Advisor, Chris was the Development Director for Sarasota Crew. Chris has had a robust career in fundraising, including managing Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s STEMsmart initiative, first as the foundation’s Director of Community Investment and later in a consulting role as the STEMsmart Project Manager. She also volunteered as project manager of Gulf Coast’s Florida BRAIVE Fund, a $5-million fund to assist Florida-based military personnel and their families affected by deployment to Afghanistan and Iraq.
