Tidewell Foundation Welcomes NFL Star at Annual Fundraiser Luncheon
The event brings together community leaders, philanthropists, healthcare partners and supporters for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to support of compassionate care in Southwest Florida.
The luncheon benefits Tidewell Hospice and Empath Health programs and services that support patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
The guest speaker this year was Super Bowl champion Joe Theismann. His story of resilience, leadership and transformation resonates deeply with Tidewell’s mission.
Theismann is an award-winning TV analyst, entrepreneur, and former quarterback for the Washington Redskins.
Known for his high-energy leadership style, Theismann draws from his multifaceted career to speak on overcoming adversity, adapting to change, and finding purpose through service.
“We’re gathered here for a very important reason,” Theismann said. “To help others.”
Theismann said his parents received the benefits of hospice, “so for me, this is personal.”
The 2026 Signature Luncheon is proudly supported by Exclusive Signature Sponsor Caldwell Trust Company.
“The Signature Luncheon is about bringing people together around a shared purpose—supporting compassionate care for patients and families when it matters most,” said Delesa Morris, president of Tidewell Foundation, in a news release.
