Tidewell receives $40,000 grant to enhance telehealth technology in response to COVID-19

Tidewell Hospice has received a $40,000 grant from the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation in support of Tidewell’s COVID-19 response.

The grant is to augment telehealth visits, allowing Tidewell physicians and clinical staff to deliver care remotely when necessary. The grant permitted Tidewell to obtain iPads for every hospice house and for long-term care and assisted-living facility teams.

“On behalf of all of us at Tidewell, we are continually grateful for the support from our community partners,” said Tidewell President and CEO Jonathan Fleece. “This generous $40,000 gift from the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation will help support additional staffing so that Tidewell can continue to provide world-class hospice care throughout the pandemic.”

“The Selby Foundation has a long history of funding significant community needs through providing funding for capital needs,” said Carol Butera, President and CEO of the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation. “At this time we are especially pleased to be able to provide assistance to Tidewell Hospice in their care of the critically ill through the purchase of equipment in their delivery of telemedicine services.”
