Brenda Vranic
Brenda Vranic, age 92, passed away on January 19, 2024, in Bradenton, Florida. She was born on August 11, 1931, in England.
Brenda was a truly creative individual, excelling in various artistic pursuits. From home decorating to sewing, she showcased her talent and passion. Brenda’s love for ballroom dancing was evident throughout her life. She danced alongside her late husband Lazar (Larry) and later with her partner Marco Benavides. Brenda’s skills on the dance floor earned her numerous trophies and accolades. She generously shared her knowledge by teaching ballroom dancing to many of her acquaintances.
Brenda will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her daughters Anne Watts (Dennis) and Michele Vandegriff, her grandchildren Lin Brough, Michael Cubit, and Brandon Cubit, and her great-grandchild Joseph Donell Cubit. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and William Hyde, her devoted husband, Lazar Vranic, her sister, Pauline Bielak, and her beloved grandson, Jason Brough.
A funeral procession will begin at 10:30 am on June 8, 2024, at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 W Taft St, Merrillville, IN. A celebration of life will be at Andorra Banquets immediately following the service at 1112 US Highway 41, Schererville, IN.
