Carol Dorothy Patterson
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Carol Patterson, 95, of Venice, FL. Carol died peacefully in her sleep with her son David and daughter Nancy by her side.
Carol was born in Cleveland, OH, and lived in Ypsilanti, MI, and Parma, OH, before moving to Venice. Carol left behind a son, David Bognar (Carole), and their daughter Jessica Bognar, daughter Nancy Bognar of Bradenton, sister Phyllis Mills (Eugene), step-daughter Janet Crooks (David), and many nieces and nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Dorothy Schaab, husband Julius Bognar, husband Charles Patterson, brother Richard (Ruth) Schaab, sister Jeanne Newman (James), and sister Ruth Anne Bauer (Lewell). Carol will be interred with her late husband, Charles, at Sarasota National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 8th at Village on the Isle in Venice, FL, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent in Carol’s name to Tidewell Hospice at Tidewell Hospice, 3350 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34239.
