Carol Ann Young
Carol Ann (Ford) Young, age 80, of Nokomis FL and formerly of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on July 1, 2024.
Carol was the devoted and loving wife of her husband of 40 years, Richard J. Young of Nokomis FL, also formerly of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Also the cherished daughter of the late William Ford and the late Elizabeth (Penney) Ford, beloved sister to Margie Ford of Quincy, MA, beloved sister to William Ford and his wife Lynne of Bridgewater, MA, beloved sister to the late Irene (Ford) Munn and her late husband Glen, beloved sister to the late Cecilia (Ford) Kenneally and her late husband Richard and beloved sister-in-law to the late Ronda (Young) Moulds and her late husband John. She was the cherished aunt of Julie, Michael, David, Stephen, Jennifer, Laura, Jessica, as well as, Sean and Kelly. Carol was the loving stepmother to stepchildren, Ronda Jean Young of Everett, MA, Richard Young Jr. and his wife Debbie of North Conway, NH, Stephen Young and his wife Marci of Everett MA, Donald Young of Wakefield MA, Kevin Young and his wife Jamie of Saugus MA and James Young and his wife Angela of Everett MA. Carol is also survived by many loving cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews, step-grandchildren, and very loving friends, many of whom were like family to her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM Funeral Service at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, 185 Lake St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
