Donald R. Wark, Jr.
Donald Wark, Jr, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Tidewell Hospice, Arcadia, with his wife Peggy by his side.
Don was born on November 18, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey, to Donald and Madeline Wark. He has been a resident of Punta Gorda, Florida since 2000.
Don is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Peggy Wark, as well as children Kelly (Scott) Bove, Jeffrey (Kelly)Wark, Leslie (Stephen)Reyes, and Bradley Zane. He was a loving Pop Pop to Courtney, Tommy, Brendan, Lauren, Becca, Hayden, Emily, Sean, and Ada.
He is also survived by brother Walter (Dale) Wark and sister Peggy (Fran) Pratt. He will be sadly missed by his loving dog, Holly, who was always by his side.
Don was an avid sailor and realized his dream to retire and cruise the Caribbean with his wife traveling as far as Venezuela and back.
After returning to land, he went on to sell real estate and become a licensed contractor and a boat broker until dementia took over. He never met a stranger, and he had a great gift of gab.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association. Memorial services will be planned at a later date.
