Donna J. Gorrell Morris
Donna J. (Reuille) Gorrell Morris, 87, went to be with the Lord,after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 6, 2024, in Bradenton, FL. Born to Cyril “Ted” S. Reuille and Marie (Bobay) Reuille on April 5, 1936, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Donna graduated from Central High School with honors in 1954.
Donna was an active volunteer all her life. She was a past member and officer of the Fort Wayne Firefighters Auxiliary and served on the Emergency Response Committee. While living in Venice, Florida, she served on the Board of Directors of Village on the Isle Retirement Community. She also was very active in her retirement community planning and coordinating fashions shows, lunches, dinners, outings to plays and concerts for the residents. It is something she always loved to do.
Donna retired from Bon Secours – Venice Hospital after 30+ years in the Human Resource department. During her tenure, she was awarded Employee of the Year.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, sisters; Georgianna Leazier, Marcelena Soest, Norma Jean Bultemeier, husbands Harry E. Gorrell and Robert G. Morris.
She is survived by son, Mark D. Gorrell (Kelly) Sarasota, Fl, daughter, Sherry L. Hulett (Dennis), Harshaw, WI, grandchildren, Kode Hulett (Linda), Ashley Markley (Brett), Scott Hulett, Meaghan Lender (Chris), and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Water’s Edge-Bradenton Community Room on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Feel free to wear Donna’s favorite color pink or any bright color. We invite you to make a donation to Water’s Edge -Bradenton Foundation (Chaplaincy) or Tidewell Hospice, in honor and memory of Donna in lieu of flowers.
