Mary Ann Yodzis
Mary Ann Yodzis peacefully died on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was born in Harrisburg, PA, on March 10, 1932, to parents William and Irene Cullen. She was a graduate of the Katherine Sweeney Day School and Notre Dame of Maryland University, where she was known as “Mac.” She did post-graduate work at Lebanon Valley College. Mary Ann was also a member of the Junior League of Harrisburg.
She taught elementary school in several states and later was a private tutor for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Yodzis, and granddaughter, Molly Patton. She is survived by her four children: John J. “Chip” (Carol) Yodzis, Ellen (Mark) Patton, Chris (Gina) Yodzis, and Peter (Kimberly) Yodzis. She had 14 grandchildren and soon-to-be 21 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.
There will be a memorial mass on June 8, at 10 am, at the USF Student Center in Tampa, FL. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Sefner, FL.
