
Susan Potter
Susan “Su” Amon Potter, born on September 30, 1948, in Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on November 10, 2025, at the age of 77.
Su was a devoted wife to her husband Gary for 55 years, a loving mother to her son Michael (Devon) and daughter Sharon (Jason Karasick), and an adored grandmother to twin granddaughters, Anabela and Izabela Burns. She is also survived by her two sisters, Sandra Christie of Inverness and Cindy Staley of Tampa.
A dedicated professional, Su worked as a Customer Service Representative with Verizon (formerly GTE) for 25 years, providing excellent service and support throughout her career. She also had a strong commitment to community service, volunteering with the Girl Scouts, Doctors Hospital ER, and Selby Gardens.
In her personal life, Su was passionate about exploring the world. She cherished her travels with family, including memorable journeys abroad and RV trips across the United States, creating countless stories and treasured moments.
Su’s kindness, generosity, and love for her family, friends, and community will be deeply missed. She lived a life filled with compassion, adventure, and service, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, and numerous extended family members and friends.
A private family service will be held.
