Patricia McCormick Chick
Patricia McCormick Chick of Bradenton, FL, went on to eternal life on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 93. Patricia is remembered for her love of family, creativity, and quick, genuine smile.
Born Feb. 4, 1930, in Leechburg, PA, to Eugene and Mary McCormick, Patricia proudly grew up as an insurance man’s daughter in this small town. She attended Thiel College, then moved to Pittsburgh, where she worked for J&L Steel. Here, she met Raymond Chick, her Florida native husband of 67 years. They settled in PA to raise their family of 3 children and later traveled the country to keep up with family and friends. Florida became their retirement destination.
Patricia is survived by her devoted husband Raymond; sister Carroll (Clair) Klingensmith of Bradenton; daughter Linda Chick Skinner of Canon City, CO; daughter Martha (Bill) Chick Hillis of Lawrenceburg, TN; and son Paul (Roxanne) Chick of Cherry Hill, NJ. Ray and Patricia have 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, December 30, at 11:00 am. The location is Redeemer Lutheran Church, 6311 3rd Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
In place of flowers, donations are suggested by mail to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Hospice, Tidewell Foundation.
