Tidewell Foundation’s 12th Annual Signature Luncheon Shifts to Virtual Format
The new format will ensure guest safety during fundraising event.
The Tidewell Foundation, Inc. is shifting its 12th Annual Signature Luncheon, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, to an entirely virtual event in response to the state of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will be able to enjoy the program in its entirety via livestreaming.
Lorna Luft, Broadway star and daughter of the beloved legendary star Judy Garland, will be the keynote speaker for the event. Lorna talks candidly about the challenges of terminal illness and the power of hospice care, and the positive impact it has for patients and families. As a caregiver to her mother as well as her dearest friend, who spent her final two weeks of her life in hospice, Lorna has been touched by the fragility and vulnerability of life.
Sponsored by Caldwell Trust Company, the 12th Annual Signature Luncheon is Tidewell’s largest fundraising event. Proceeds will help support Tidewell’s services to more than 10,000 patients annually, regardless of their ability to pay.
“While we will miss having the chance to gather in person this year, we are excited that everyone will be able to participate together safely,” Tidewell Foundation President Debbie Mason said. “During these difficult times, donor support and funding is appreciated and needed more than ever before. We commend our team, honored guests and sponsors for innovating in the face of today’s challenges to help make the 12th Annual Signature Luncheon an unforgettable event.”
