Tidewell Foundation Board Appoints Officers for Fiscal Year 2025

New Foundation Officers Appointed

November 25, 2024 — The Tidewell Foundation Board of Trustees has announced officers for Fiscal Year 2025. The foundation, a member of Empath Health, was established in 2020 to provide philanthrophic support to Tidewell Hospice and Empath’s not-for-profit affiliate organizations.

Founding board member Tom Stuhley will serve as Chair. He succeeds Renee Eppard, who served as Board Chair since the foundation’s inception in 2020. Renee was honored for her service and leadership on the board at The ORA event center on November 12. Jason Toale will be Vice-Chair, Kory D. Lee, CFP, has been named Treasurer, and Victoria Kasdan, RN, BSN, MPH is Secretary.

Tom Stuhley is in his third term of service to the Tidewell Foundation Board. He is a member of the Caldwell Trust Company Board of Trustees and an emeritus member of the board of Wisconsin’s Aurora Health Care, South Region, and is a Trustee of Aurora University-George Williams College. Tom is a former member of the Casey Key Association Board and the Asolo Repertory Theatre Endowment Foundation. A full-time Casey Key resident, Tom and his wife, Cindy, have three grown children and nine grandchildren.

Jason Toale is in his second term on the Tidewell Foundation Board. Born and raised in Sarasota, he is the Vice President of Operations of Robert Toale and Sons, an SCI brand. Jason is a member of the Leadership Sarasota Class of 2025 and sits on the boards of the Florida Cemetery Cremation and Funderal Association, The Argus Foundation, Tiger Bay of Sarasota and the Old Miakka Cemetery Board. Jason and his wife, Susie, have two children, Grace and Grant.

Kory D. Lee, Wealth Advisor and Vice President with Truist Wealth, is serving his second term on the Tidewell Foundation Board. Kory served in leadership roles with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and Wells Fargo Advisors before becoming a Financial Advisor. Kory resides in the Palmer Ranch area of Sarasota with his wife, Jules, and daughter, Vesper.

Victoria Kasdan, who is serving her second term on the Tidewell Foundation Board, is a Registered Nurse, former public health administrator and seasoned executive with more than 30 ears of experience in for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She is CEO if Mission Made Possible, LLC, a local consulting firm, and is a co-founder and current board chair of Making an Impact, an area nonprofit empowering others with information on essential need services in Sarasota and Manatee counties. She is on the board at JFCS of the Suncoast and was appointed to the regional Health Council of West Central Florida and serves as board chair.
