Tidewell Foundation Gives Back on Giving Tuesday With Community Celebration
As a way to give back to the community on the most giving day of the year, the Tidewell Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce a Giving Tuesday Community Celebration featuring New York Times bestselling author and speaker Ben Nemtin. Sponsored by Lincoln Financial Group, this virtual event is free for the community and will take place from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1.
In celebration of Tidewell’s 40 years of providing world-class care and compassion, the Tidewell Foundation is sharing this inspirational hour for people to move past 2020’s challenges and embrace new possibilities in the year ahead. Nemtin will be sharing his uplifting talk “5 Steps to Make the Impossible Possible” during the Celebration.
“This year has created a great distance in our lives beyond that of social connection,” Tidewell Foundation President Debbie Mason said. “Many life goals have been put on hold, time with friends and family has been pushed off, and our sense of community has become fractured. This Giving Tuesday, thanks to the Lincoln Financial Group’s
support, the Tidewell Foundation invites people to reconnect with their dreams and the power inside that can transform barriers into opportunities through this energizing celebration and Ben’s inspirational message.”
Nemtin is nationally known for his New York Times bestseller, “What Do You Want to Do Before You Die?” and as the star of MTV’s series, “The Buried Life.” His work is inspired by his own life experiences. After struggling with depression during his first year of university, he left school to search for experiences that made him feel more alive. This led him on a nationwide road trip with his three best friends to fulfill what he calls the world’s greatest bucket list while helping people they met along their journey find the inspiration to cross something off of their own list.
