Tidewell Foundation receives grant from Boca CARES

Grant will support technology used for patients with hearing loss

Tidewell Foundation announced it has received a $2,000 grant from Boca CARES to support Tidewell Hospice’s integration of technology in care for patients with hearing loss.

Tidewell uses Eversound Devices for Hearing Enhancement, an innovative technology system that enhances hearing. The Boca CARES grant will assist in providing a year long-subscription to Tidewell Hospice patients.

“With the use of Eversound, we are able to enhance hearing and help patients communicate with caregivers, friends, and family,” said Tidewell Foundation President Debbie Mason.  “We are grateful to Boca CARES for helping to bring music, laughter, understanding, and other components critical to an increased quality of life back to them. It is a priceless gift for patients who are facing the end of their life.”

Boca CARES is based in Englewood, Florida, and was formed by residents and friends of the Boca Royale Community. The Fund was formed specifically to provide aid to local charities whose mission it is to empower and improve the lives of those less fortunate.
