Tidewell Treasures Sarasota Marks One Year of Supporting Hospice Care

Tidewell Treasures Sarasota will mark its first anniversary Saturday, March 18, 2023, with a celebration and sales event.

Treasures is a resale store that:

• Accepts donations
• Is supported by volunteers
• Donates proceeds from sales to the Tidewell Foundation in support of Tidewell Hospice

The Sarasota store opened in Palmer Crossings in March 2022, joining its sister store in Venice, which has been open more than decade.

“Treasures provides tremendous support to Tidewell Foundation and our ability to provide support to Tidewell Hospice and other not-for-profit Empath Health affiliates,” said Delesa Morris, Interim President. “Donations of good quality, gently-used household items and purchases make a significant difference in our ability to ensure that people who need hospice care can receive it, regardless of their ability to pay.’’

On Saturday, March 18, both Treasures locations will celebrate with 50% off nearly every item in the store. The Sarasota location (behind Chick-fil-A on Clark Road) will feature a volunteer fair, tasty treats and other festivities.

“We are very grateful to our volunteers, who make running the store possible, and to everyone who has donated or shopped,” said Manager Jamie White. “It has been a busy year and one that has made a difference for hospice care.”

Tidewell volunteers also will be on hand to discuss volunteer opportunities available at Tidewell Hospice and Tidewell Foundation.

Tidewell Treasures is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. They are closed on Sunday.
