Ruth Ann Carroll
Ruth Ann Carroll, 90, of North Port, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2023. She was born July 6, 1933 in Cuba, OH. The daughter of Ennis and Sarah Kathryn (Hanes) Frazier.
Ruth was a graduate of Martinsville High School class of 1951, where she was a member of the 4-H Club and Friend’s Church. Ruth worked for General Motors in Dayton, OH, before retiring to FL in 1990. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW and the Moose Club in Naples, FL. Her hobbies included watching wrestling, especially Cody Rhodes, gambling, gardening, and sewing.
Ruth is survived by her children, Billy (Cathy) Sturgill and Mary Ann Coyle, all of Nancy, KY, Rhonda Combs of Ellijay, GA, Gary Carroll of Vandalia, OH, and John (Michele) Carroll of Troy, Ohio; six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Carroll, her sons, Michael and Ennis & John (twins).
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH, 45424. A graveside service will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
